Sandvik Play, the Corkeen brand master for the Norwegian market, installed the Corkeen Play system in the playground at Nordby School, one of the primary schools in the municipality of Ås, in the South of Norway.
With around 300 pupils, the school has a rural setting, surrounded by woodlands and large green areas, where children develop various outdoor activities - from sports to gardening.
In addition to various sports infrastructures, the school offers its pupils a new and spacious playground with various facilities, such as swings and climbing frames. To ensure the children’s comfort and safety, the Corkeen Play system has been installed in the 345 m2 playground.
Developed and produced by Amorim, this cork-based playground surface helps prevent accidents in the event of falls. It also makes the playground more accessible, allowing it to be used by all children, including those using wheelchairs or other mobility equipment.

The Corkeen Play Original was installed in situ by the Corkeen brand master for the Norwegian market, Sandvik Play, in partnership with the company, CH Prosjekt AS. The system is applied in two layers, a shock-absorbing base layer and a top layer resistant to wear and tear.
